30 years from the first generation. Orthodox belt scroll action!

The world 10 years after the previous work (for the first time in 26 years in reality). Fight through 12 stages using punches, kicks, weapons, throws, special attacks, etc., in a detailed, hand-drawn world.

“Retro mode” that is great for those who know the past work

In addition to the four protagonists, when the score that can be earned in the game accumulates to a certain value, the heroes of successive works will be unlocked little by little. If you select a hero from a past game… he will appear with rough pixel art that reproduces the look of Sega Genesis at the time, and you can play it as is (the entire screen does not have a retro look). It’s amazing how these pixel art characters blend seamlessly into hand-drawn enemies and backgrounds. The number of action frames is small, and it feels good to move.

BGM is also popular

In the world of game music, famous people (including those who made past games) are in charge of music. You can also select past music from Sega Genesis.

DLC “Mr. X Nightmare” too!

Paid DLC “Mr. X Nightmare” was released on July 15, 2021. PS Store here (external site)
In addition to three new playable characters, new techniques, weapons, and enemies will appear!

Dad’s soliloquy
If you've played past Sega Genesis titles, you'll be impressed by how well the traditions are preserved while incorporating new visuals. Also, as someone who loved Tirbo Grafx 16 CD's "Ys I & II", I'm happy that Yuzo Koshiro, who was in charge of the music, was involved!
